    finding top dead cener

    I have a 1973 Johnson v4 i and trying to find top dead center too set the timiing using a dial indicator putting in number 1 cylinder untill it reaches the top and then adjust the mark on the fly wheel is this the correct way to do this ?

    stator and trigger specs

    i have a 1973 johnson 115 outboard i have a new battey and cables with the spark plugs removed i have spark at all 4 coils with the spark plugs in i have no spark using a dva meter i have 277.3 volts at the stator wires brown/brownyellow at the triger i only have .2 volts this is at cranking...
