    What lower unit seal kits will work with a 56 10hp as there are none listed for purchase. Are there any models that use the same set up?

    1956 Johnson 10hp troubles. Help!

    I have a 1956 jonhnson 10hp. When out of water it will hit high RPM but once I take it on water it can't hit top RPM. I changed points, condensers, and coils. It wont even create a wake. Thats how slow it's moving. Is this due to some issue in the lower unit. Any thoughts or suggestions?
