    25hp johnson sea horse.. Black oil out of peep holes and golden oil out of lower ?

    After getting my motor running i noticed it was leaking black oil out of the water drains. So i checked the gear oil and it was a thick gold color smelt like used oil.. Question is..Is this normal or do i have problems..If problems ,how extreme is cost and repair.. would a complete motor rebuild...

    Trouble shooting a 1978 console steer 25hp johnson seahorse w/no spark

    I have an older boat with a 1978 johnson 25 hp sea horse model number is 25E78C motor.. it has no pull start and is only fired by a key.. I looked at the black and yellow wire and cannot figure how to disconnect it , its all harness.. It also has a fully charged battery and no corrosion...
