    ok i have a 76 402 merc..starts up fine and will idle fine, pumping lots of water, when i giver some juice on the high idle she wined rite out sounding great, But when i put it into gear and giver some juice she just dont have any power??? thinkig maybe coils? any help would be great...few...

    Just wanna make sure..oil/gas mix

    Merc 402, 40hp lower end help

    HI, i believe the year of my merc 402, 40hp is 1976, We took the lower unit apart and put a new impeller in her,, now we need to put 2 o-rings and the barren we bought but not sure how they go in.. is there any you-tube vids or a place it would show me step bye step how to do it, also is there...

    Little Help please

    HI, i just bought a 40HP 402 mercury out board, motor seems to run great but there is no water coming out.. this motor has not been run much at all the last few years..im thinking it the impeller ? any help would be great, and what else should i do or check, service wise? thanks jeff
