    Kill switch wiring

    Found out today the kill switch on my 4.3gl volvo penta i/o is bad. Problem is it has three wires on the back. One is purple w/ 12 volts, one is orange and the last one is purple without voltage. So obviously w/ lanyard attached the circuit is closed between the two purple wires...right...

    4.3 gl (volvo) easily starts but wont stay running

    I have a 2000 model carbureted 4.3 liter engine. It has always run well and been well maintained. I got up one morning and started it up, it started and ran fine. Out of nowhere it suddenly shuts off and and when I turn the ignition it starts back up. The engine will only run for 2-3 seconds...
