    1981 70 hp envinrude idling problem

    the boat will not crank unless i use the cold start choke once i do this if i dont shift and go the engine dies, the engine runs great once you get it in gear and has no problems unitil u slow to nuetreul then it shuts off just had the engine serviced with new power pack and coils any suggestions

    looking for any help possible i have the envinrude 70 hp 1981 when i crank it in cold start it idles fine as soon as i take the cold start off the engine shuts down in order to get it in gear i have to lower the cold start to almost off then shift it into gear the engine runs great other wise...
