    Is my block trashed? 1989 Evinrude 150 XP

    I was cleaning my block getting ready for reassembly when I noticed a cavity/hole in an exhaust port. It is in the starboard bank of cylinders, middle cylinder, lower port. I can stick a pick atleast 0.300" into this cavity and is about as wide as a ball point pen. So is this block done for...

    1989 Evinrude 150 XP piston/bore size.

    I just purchased a rebuild kit for my 1989 Evinrude 150 xp. The pistons are GLM pistons stamped 0.040" over P/N 24034. I am planning on getting the block bored to 3.540" and wanted to double check this is the correct bore before proceeding. Thanks, Evan
