    1963 Evinrude 18 HP Ignition Question

    I test ran this motor after dark and noticed that there are sparks at the bottom of the ignition plate in the area of the pivit joint. Is this normal? I am also having trouble getting it to idle. Could this be related? The plug wires LOOK good but could they be bad and causing the sparks?

    Evinrude 18 Won't Idle
