Well, I took the plunge and purchased a 1975 Fabuglas tri-hull and trailer. Could not beat the price, $100. I can sell the trailer for that if need be and put the hull in the backyard for the grandkids.
It needs the deck/transom replaced, seats, and lots of tlc. the engine appears in good shape...
