    Hi can anyone help i have purchased a boat with twin Mariner 40hp 1998 engines. i can get them idling fine when stationary but once i have been out they seem to change idle slow they stop or sometimes too fast. Could it be the control cables to my remotes which are affecting the speed maybe...

    Hi Can anyone help i have twin mariner 40hp 1998 every time i go out and come back in the engine idol speed has changed. could the problem be the control cable as they are both the same idols ok in marina but changes when moving in and out of gear. Regards mike.

    hi can anyone tell me how to increase the idle speed of a 40 hp 1998 mariner i have twin engines, every time i go out and come back in the idle speed has changed.Does anyone know what the problem might be.Could it be the control cables as it is 1998 model. cables seizing up possably.
