    85 50hp Merc. top carb not getting fuel

    I have a 1985 4cyl. 50 hp merc. The top carb was spitting fuel at low throttle so I rebuilt it. Now it won't get fuel unless I squeeze the primer. It will run fine after I use the primer for about a minute or so then cuts out. Any ideas?
