    Mariner/Yamaha parts interchangable

    I have a 1984 Mariner 40E. Some of the parts are not being made anymore and the ones that are are very expensive. I know this was built by Yamaha for Mariner. I looked at parts online and the carb rebuild kit for a 1990-1994 yamaha appears to have the same style of carbs. Are these interchangable??

    Late 80's Mariner 40hp steering--->tiller conversion?

    Hi all, I have been given an old bowrider with a 1989 (I think) Mariner 40hp and a newish trailer. I am considering getting a 16-18 ft tin boat and converting the motor to a tiller. Is this possible - does anyone have any experience with this type of thing? Thanks Aaron
