    1987 Mercruiser 3L - can't get temp sender out....

    Tried to remove the temp sender out today and couldn't. I was worried that it would strip as its brass. It shows 650 Ohms with an ohm meter. Sockets don't really fit as they hit the thermostat housing. What to do? Thanks.

    Ok, here is the story, last year i purchased a 26 foot c&c. It came with an outboard, nice Johnson 9.9 with an electric start. The motor worked just fine last year, on the last day of the pull out it died, and wouldnt start for a while. it did start later on that day, but would not rev higher...
