I have a 1974 115 evinrude V4. I took it to the dealer a year ago for no reverse and they messed with the cables and got it to work for 1 day at the lake. Now after riding with no reverse for a year the forward is starting to lock in and sometimes shifts hard. I guess what i am trying to say is...
