    I"m wondering if a 3/4 or 1" Poly cutting board could function similarly to the diamond plate? (and is cheaper than starboard) My current thought is to make a platform out of the Poly and use rubber/nylon washers to adjust for the curve in places, and then mount the quick release to that.
