1986 Suzuki DT40 Help Identifying Electrical Component

1986 DT40TC. Appears to be the "VH" model according to the wiring diagrams. I just located a second wiring diagram further into the manual in that does include the one wire that appears to be fed to this black mystery box from the boat side wiring harness (but diagram also doesn't show the box...

1986 Suzuki DT40 Help Identifying Electrical Component

Good thought. It does have a rectifier installed on the other side, but diode checks indicate it's a simple rectifier, not rectifier/regulator. Wiring diagram does show a separate voltage regulator as an option, but the photos I find of the part # for it and number of wires are completely...

    1989 Yamaha 50ELF 2 Stoke CDI Operation - Overheat Circuit ?

Thanks. I had run across an 87 Suzuki DT55 once that wouldn't come out of over-rev protection limp mode, but I think it had a separate control module that talked to the cdi and lit the Suzuki monitor lights. That experience had me second guessing.

    1989 Yamaha 50ELF 2 Stoke CDI Operation - Overheat Circuit ?

89 50hp 2 stroke - Starts right up, runs well at idle for 22 seconds and shuts off abruptly. If I raise the idle speed with either idle adjustment screw or at the throttle, still dies at about 22 seconds. Always 21-23 seconds, no matter what rpm. Always restarts immediately with just a bump of...
