    !/2 ton Truck towing limitations

I am at lake erie during the summer, and I don't ever remember seeing a WDH used on a boat trailer. I am sure people do but just never paid attention enough to see one. Looking over Fords requirement that a WDH for over 5000lbs, a 21 foot boston whaler would need a WDH

    !/2 ton Truck towing limitations

That's what I find weird about Ford. Looking on Fords website they say they require WDH over 5000lbs regardless of TW

    !/2 ton Truck towing limitations

I have a Ram and after reading this post made me wonder if I was towing illegally. Per Ram they only recommend a WDH over 5000lbs

Gas or oil out of exhaust

Recently i was running my 2017 Yamaha 115 on ear muffs in the driveway and after shutting down I could see a slight rainbow slick in the water on the driveway. Should I be concerned or is it normal?

    Yams/Suzukis and Lithiums

I thought I heard that lithium batteries don't have enough cold cranking amps to always start the motor. Hope that is not true because I would love to switch out to lithium

    Parking boat in driveway

Well it's going to be a little bit of a pain but instead of using my truck I just will now use my smaller suv when hitched(wink wink parked) in my driveway.

    Parking boat in driveway

I am slightly venting but do have a question about parking boat in driveway. So I will start off by saying I live in a HOA, so I know I have that I have that going against me. Last week I brought my boat home and parked in my driveway to give it a good cleaning, and per the rules I am allowed...

    Battery powered pressure washer

I did end up buying the ryobi 600 psi battery pressure washer. It has worked out great for my needs. I fill two 5 gallon buckets and can wash my 20 foot boat. Again not really using it as a pressure washer but more as portable water sprayer

    Battery powered pressure washer

Anybody use a battery powered pressure washer to do some light cleaning on there boat? If so does it help or should I continue to trailer my boat to the car wash? Currently I keep my boat on the trailer and there is no electic or water hook up where it is parked. My thought was I could just fill...

    Question about water in bilge

Have had two boats leak water. First one was due to bad transom, it was a constant drip just below the transom plate. Current boat was leaking at the self bailing thru hull. That one was a little tricky to find as it wasn't a constant leak

Boat to store inside garage ?

The yamaha is probably your best bet. Any other boat around that size is going to be too long with the outboard or outdrive. Unless you store it at an angle which might gain you an extra foot

    Best diy wax?

Long time ago I had a red boat and that was a lost cause. I swore I would never get a red boat again. Guess next boat will be white

    Best diy wax?

Maybe I might need to step up my mid season waxing. Goal is to not have to compound out any oxidation at the end of the season

    Best diy wax?

Getting ready to do the final clean on my boat before she goes to sleep for a couple months. In the past I would polish some of the spots that had a slight oxidation in the blue gel coat and finish with collinite fleetwax. Wondering if there is something better out there to use? Currently the...

What does wood free hull actual mean

My reason for asking was I use to have a 98 fiberglass boat that had a rotted transom so I sold for a pontoon. Now I am back to fiberglass boats and was just more curious how they are currently made

What does wood free hull actual mean

Seems all newish boats all claim to be a wood free design? So what are the transom's and stringer now made of if there is no wood. What happens if there is water intrusion in the transom and stringers? Is it the same process as wood in which you still need to replace or does water intrusion not...
