    Towing a Chaparral 23 H2o Sport boat with a 4Runner that has a 5,000 pound tow rating

You'll have that uneasy feeling when towing that close to limit. I occasionally tow my 22 ft that weighs out close to max tow capacity of my 2012 Chevy Silverado short bed w/V-6. While it does an admirable job its still is huffing and puffing up grades and definitely not the best truck for the...

    KIA Telluride for towing?

Make sure you keep a fire extinguisher handy while towing. Kia's have a nasty habit of self combusting.

    KIA Telluride for towing?

Look at tow rating of vehicle and total weight of towed boat/trailer. If it falls within rating of vehicle and you tow safely you'll be fine. Here is a review of it towing 5,000 lbs. https://www.outmotorsports.com/2022/01/2022-kia-telluride-review-towing/

VP 4.3 MPI sluggish on holeshot

Is this sluggishness a new thing or was it preforming satisfactory in past but now not so? If its always been this way try a lower pitch prop.

Time to upgrade. Looking at 5.0 MPI w Bravo 3

It may not be a issue. Many advantages to dual prop but you do lose some speed on top end vs single prop outdrive.

Time to upgrade. Looking at 5.0 MPI w Bravo 3

5.0 with a bravo 3 is two prop unit I thought. The performance may be underwhelming. Usually see that with a 5.7 or 6.0 or larger motor.

    Engine problems while on vacation

If your fuel is over a year old yes I'd remove it. I run my boat such that fuel is enough for planned boat travel such that I run tank low regularly and replenish as needed. Always keeping fresh fuel in tank. No old fuel.

    Mini Excavators

Rent before you buy would be a good idea. A compact tract loader aka skid steer along lines of larger ones say a Cat 289/299 is good at small scale grading and redistribution. A TLB can be good if its a large one.

I need help with a 58 super thunderbolt iekhaefer!

If its like later version you turn that knob on bow facing panel of cowling. That should come off. Underneath will be two compression type turnbuckles that you pull out and then unhook from the clamshell wraparound part. It may be different considering its age but the early 70's model looked...

    Strange engine sound need help

Volvo Penta have some models that are bad about belt erosion and ejection. We have a 2007 5.0GXi SX drive that has required much modification to keep belt on and dust reduced.

    Budget Boat Covers

If you can keep the sides straight so water and debris repels off boat/cover then its useful. Cheap material often time has no means of keeping taught and boat with cover just fills up with junk.

Has anyone actually seen ethenol ruin anything?

I haven't experienced significant problems with e10. Was a user of non ethanol in all my off road engines and boats The challenging and costly hunt for non-ethanol pushed me more to look into e-10. A study done by mercury marine has lessened my concern about e-10. I use up my e-10...
