    Trim gage wiring

    I installed new trim limit and trim sender switches. I got the limit switch hooked up, but can't figure out where to hook up the sender switch. there are no bullet connectors to hook it to. what color are the wires i need to find/splice into?

    Success!!!

    Finally, after 2 months of work, i got it to fire up tonight! Thanks to all for the help and suggestions. I have some adjustments to make, but the hard part is over. Now on to the water. :D

    Sticking valve?

    All i get when i try to start is a backfire thru the carb. Rebuilt the carb, and did a complete tuneup. Its getting spark and gas, just won't start. This boat sat for a long time. Did a compression check and the only thing amis was number 4 was about 10 psi lower than the rest (130 to 120)...

    Trim and Limit sender wiring

    At some point in my boats former life someone bypassed the trim sender and limit switches. I've replaced them and want to hook them up, but there are no bullet connectors anywhere. Anyone know where I need to splice in at?

    How much is too much

    I'm installing the upper half of the outdrive on an alpha1 to the bellhousing. I get to about the last 3/4" to 1" and it stops. Is it possible to put a 2 x 4 on the back of the housing and tap? Should there be that much resistance. I'm thinking its just the new o-rings needing seated.

    Seems harder than I thought it would be. I've attached the u-joint bellow to the bellhousing. Attached the exhaust and shift cable bellow to the gimble. the hard part is attaching the water hose to the bellhousing (not much room) then getting the u-joint bellow on the gimble end. my family...

    another alignment question.

    Ok, just installed a new gimble bearing. bumped the alignment tool till it seats in the coupler. looks like the splines bite at the top more than the bottom. This mean i need to lower the front of the motor slightly?

    Impeller question alpha 1

    I remember reading somewhere on here that when installing the impeller, it didn't matter which way the vanes "faced" as they would seat themselves the first time you run it. Is this an accurate statement?
