    Here’s my two cents; when I got my boat it had a intermittent spark issue which I was chasing and it also had a funky kill switch rigged up because the ignition was faulty( couldn’t turn it off with key). I put in a new key ignition and that alone seemed to solve several issues.

    I’ve had similar issue and what I did is adjusted the shift pin; meaning it screws in and out. With mine the sweet spot is at about 2.5 turns out. It was making a clanking sound before catching reverse and after adjustment it’s like butter.

    Hi all I’m contemplating installing a trim tilt gauge( which I already have) on an 1988 force 125hp. My question-where should I start looking for a sending unit for this configuration, which is a two wire unit? Thanks

    It seemed to have stopped leaking for the moment; so I’ll have to keep an eye on it-but I’ll probably end up making a tool for future since I’ve already got replacement seals for it.

    Ok so the trim cylinder came apart surprisingly very easy and put together with new seals; works perfect-however, now the tilt cylinder sprung a steady leak from around the shaft...going to to have to dig into that issue. Can someone send a link to the special tool needed for the cap removal...

    As Nordin mentioned; 60 compression is way low. Verify the comp-maybe the gasket is shot

    The thing to watch is the lubricants; had an issue once that the plunger gummed up and wouldn’t function when I used the wrong lubricant -🥴
