iboats 9.9 Merc 2-stroke update

Some of you may remember that I bought a 2004 Merc 9.9 program motor in March. Thanks for all the advice & input from everyone here. All your opinions were very helpful when I was comparing motors. Well, it sat in the shed with me drooling over it until last weekend when I was able to get it...

    Question about fuses

My Mercury 9.9 & 20 owner's manuals say to carry spare "SFE" 20 amp fuses. I went to the local WM today thinking I'd just be able to grab a couple packs off the shelf, but all their fuses were "AGC".

What's the difference between the two and where can I get the SFE's?

Thanks.

Aluminum boat questions - with pics

I have a 14' aluminum utility boat made around 1971. I have a new motor for it and here's the problem, or maybe not. There is a crack about 6 inches long where the transom meets the bottom of the boat. It was caused by all those years being beached and pushed out on a sandy beach and just...

    iboats motor arrived!

My fish-camp Merc 9.9 2-stroke arrived Wednesday! It caused quite a stir when it was delivered to work by truck. Now it's sitting in the shed, waiting for winter to be over and it seems like it never will be! I guess the first step will be filling the trash can with water & starting it up as...

    Varnishing Oars

What type of varnish would you use on a set of oars? They don't get a lot of use, but sit out in the sun and rain quite a lot, so the main concern is deterioration by the UV rays. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

How much TV do you watch?

I don't know why, but this just popped into my head. Maybe because my family watches a lot more than I do & I wonder about the folks here.

For Xmas, my wife got me a 1.5 million candle power rechargeable Vectorlite at boatersworld.com. Anyone familiar with college Financial Aid?

Oil bottle leaked on trunk carpeting

In my wife's trunk, an oil bottle leaked from a loose cap and I have about three good sized spots where the oil is. New computer-saving pictures from internet

I have a new computer with Windows XP and IE 6.
