    No noise at the pump when I hit the up button. That is why at the moment I think it is electrical. Right now I am picking brains to get a idea of how the system works.

    Two hoses to each cylinder. They are at the bottom of the cylinder. But from what I can see only one hose from the pump to the transom. I do need to get a better look I did see just one hose leading away from the pump.

    I had a little time to look into this after work today. I unplugged the 10 pin harness then ran a jumper from the + post on the battery to the yellow terminal on the slave relay and got nothing. When I plugged the 10 pin plug back and did the same the engine turned over nice and strong. Correct...

    It was brand new. I do plan on sending a oil sample from the engine to Blackstone Labs. If water or antifreeze is getting into the oil it will show up on there test along with other useful information. www.blackstone-labs.com/tests/standard-analysis/n.

    Gear oil for 15 hp Evinrude outboard

    I highly recommend synthetic gear oil. Synthetics dont turn into molasses when it gets cold.
