    Testing ignition on older OMC’s

The 9.5 in the video and the 75 15 hp do NOT have the same ignition. The Universal Magneto 73 and earlier and the low tension magneto 74 and up do not work the same. So be careful which ignition is being tested.

2003 25 hp merc 2 stroke impeller replacement

Maybe for a 4 strk. A 2 strk Merc motor will never pull those kinds of #s. A good healthy 2 strk 20/25 will be around 120 psi. My rebuilds don't pull much more than 120.

Double check you used the right gaskets. Those kits contain gaskets that may not work in yours. Important to double check. Also make sure the base gasket is on correctly. If it is on wrong it will cover the pump pulse port. Is the ball and spring in the primer correctly.

Did you put oil in the cylinders before your compression test? Thats more compression than it left the factory with. What happens if you pump the primer ball on the fuel line when that is happening?
