    Trim Switch Malfunction

    Yeah, I saw that. His was a Gen2, mine is a Gen1. Gen 1 has 2 bolts holding it in place, the one on the bottom, I can see, but there is another above it that is barely visible, much less getting a wrench on it. I guess I'm going to have to leave it to the professionals. Thx

    Thanks, I worked my way back last night to see how far back I had power. Got to the stern and the wires going to the limit switch and sender are bare and corroded, insulation is cracking and deteriorated. Looks like I will have to take it in to get them replaced, I'm pretty sure I cant get them...

    Hi, I have a 1984 Checkmate with the Quicksilver Throttle/Shift Controller. While out for the day, we came in and couldn't trim up. Looked and the 20amp inline fuse was blown. We managed to hotwire to the motor to raise it. Got home and replaced the fuse, and we can use the trim switch to lower...
