    Does anyone know what the cam specs for an 81 5.0 Chevy mercruiser is? I do not want to go too hot with my new engine. Also do all engines have the drain petcocks on them?

    I am going to remove the engine in my boat for a rebuild and transom repair. My question is should I yank out the two HUGE carpet covered flotation block on either side of the engine? If i take them out can i make new ones, or do i just go naked?

    I know I know, don't think like it is a car. But seriously it does not seem to stop dirt from getting in the engine. Why would we not use a good air filter.
