    35hp lower unit

    does anyone have a lower unit for a 1980 35hp seahorse I bought one on ebay it was advertised as a 1980 but when I got it it was a 1990 there appears to be no way to convert the shift linkage to work with an 80 I new this might happen by buying one unseen but I took the chance. thanks for any help

    35hp lower unit

    I have a 1990 (I think) lower unit and I want to put it on my 1980 johnson everything looks identical except I dont have the removable fins down low to remove the shifting rod. Are they compatable and if so do I have to remove the motor to fasten the shifting rod on?

    35 johnson what is it worth?

    I have a 1970's 16" v bottom alumin. w/ 1980 35hp johnson o/b, a trolling motor, seats, consol steering it needs carpet work, new lower unit and trailer.<br />except for carpet it's in pretty good shape I was looking for a rough ball park figure on what price I should ask for it thanks.

    lower unit disassembly '80 Johnson 35hp

    with a Clymer repair manual and good mechanical skills do you think I would have major difficulty tearing down the lower gear box or is this a job for seasoned pro's I have access to most of the special tools needed thanks for your input.

    1980 35 hp johnson lower unit

    I have searched and read as much as I can through this website I still cannot find the bolt below the carb port side. I have the lower end 1 1/2 down but thats it I have the starter removed and still no luck the onlhing I see is the bolts that hold the casing on and the main mounting bolt below...
