    I totally agree on the non-skid tape, I've seen a similar look after years on wooden stairs. It almost looks like they may have been coated with stain at some point to blend them in as the wood wore.

    Alignment after transom replacement 1989 Cobra

    I had to add pads on the top of my mounts to give me enough adjustment to align everything. I could have been a little low on my mounts and or because my transom is a bit thicker than originally. I have read that others have done this also.

    Hi Mark, I used 4x4's out of Douglas Fir and I know others used plywood laminated together. Any wood needs to be thourghly coated with resin, 2 coats is what I did, then after I used my PB I put another coat over everything before I glassed.
