    Sacrificial Aluminum Prop

I had one boat where we switched to a stainless from an aluminum prop. For identical altitudes, we had to go with 1" less pitch on the stainless to account for blade flex(pitch reduction). We actually tried the identical pitch first but no longer reached the WOT RPMs that we got with the...

    Sacrificial Aluminum Prop

You don't think an aluminum prop will hold its flex...let's say under acceleration? You aren't an engineer are you? And where do you get this 1/100" BS? The flex of a prop depends on blade thickness, blade pitch, prop diameter, HP and torque of the engine turning it among other things.

    Sacrificial Aluminum Prop

Sorry to burst your uneducated bubble but aluminum props do flex. Even stainless steel props flex but not as much as aluminum. You aren't going to get them to flex with your hand! That was just hilarious! Stainless steel props can be made less thick to provide the same amount of strength...

Mercury 6.2 ECT DTS Axius Voltage Issue

Finally got to my boat to scan it. Not sure if you still need it. Here is running and not running.

Wont rev past 4k -ESA issue?

Another thing that might be worthwhile doing is disconnect the tach. A failing tach can mess up ignition. Disconnecting the feed coming from the coil to it and running is a simple test.

Wont rev past 4k -ESA issue?

Is the ESA spring being depressed? Does your ESA have two switches? Show a picture of the ESA switch plate both in gear and in neutral.

Sounds fine to me. One side of the exhaust is always warmer than the other.

Mercury 6.2 ECT DTS Axius Voltage Issue

When I go up to my boat in a few days, I will put my Diacom on with the battery switch on and off and see what I get.

Mercury 6.2 ECT DTS Axius Voltage Issue

I have a 2017 6.2L but it's the newer Mercruiser developed engine(Not a GM). It does however still use the GM PCM if I am not mistaken. On my engine, there is a separate power harness that goes directly to the battery because it wants 12V ALL THE TIME. It's also going straight to the battery to...

    Trailer Brakes

I have a few RPIs. One is a video server, one controls my 3D printer and the other is for experiments. I need to get my Python skills back though.

    Trailer Brakes

Yes but not made by TSMC. Made by ASML a Dutch company. BTW...I was a chip designer my entire career as an EE. My best friend is currently a senior director at Google. All of Google's chips are made by TSMC.

    Trailer Brakes

Might be one reason but the main reason is most of their business is with the USA and it makes sense to build the factory here. BTW...there is no one special machine that makes chips. There are many machines that are hundreds of millions of dollars but there is a whole process to make chips...

    LiFePO Batteries ???

I never stated what type of batteries get charged from the solar controller through the ArgoFET. Your engine batteries do!!!

    LiFePO Batteries ???

On lithium batteries, the amount of charge they will accept is as much as the charger can source up until it's close to 100% full. I see 90A received on my older 200AH bank until they were up into the 14V region which is basically fully charged...then it has a slight taper. Now that I have...

    LiFePO Batteries ???

The solar controller only goes into float once it has completed bulk and absorption. Once it senses a slight reduction in voltage from the battery, it comes out of float and back into bulk, starting the process over again. Not sure how that really works right going through that ArgoFET isolator...

    LiFePO Batteries ???

This is something new that you could have used with this project. It's A DC to DC converter that can charge each direction. This would be perfect for motorhomes that go somewhere and sit awhile as long as the house batteries are charged via solar...
