    Covering Built-in Fuel Tank?

I'd go with glassing over the entire cover. It’ll give you a solid seal and make everything super durable.

    Water in Oil

The milky hydraulic fluid suggests water is getting into the steering system too. Double-check all your gaskets and hose connections. It could also be worth inspecting the heat exchanger and cooling lines for any leaks.

planning first trip to thousand islands

The Thousand Islands is a fantastic choice for a trip. I've been there a few times, and it's always a great experience. If you want to see Boldt Castle and other popular spots, taking a few Uncle Sam cruises is a good idea. They offer different tour packages, so you can choose one that fits your...

1977 Mercury 7.5HP impeller and spark plug wires

I know I need to replace the impeller on my motor, but I don't know which one, or if there are more than one. I've read in different places that this motor uses two different sizes based on inside dimensions. Is this the case, or does it just have one size? Also, I can't seem to locate spark...

    1977 Merc 7.5 priming

So I have never had a motor with an external tank before. I know that the motor needs to be primed from the tank itself, but how can I tell if I am under or over priming? I don't want to blow out or break anything from too much pressure or kill my shoulder trying to start it under primed.

    1974-1976 Merc 7.5Hp

So I picked up this Merc today on trade. I haven't had a chance to run it yet, I need to get a fuel connector, line, and fuel tank. My old motor was integrated. Those of you who do have had/used one, what are the main things I need to look at, watch for, change, etc...

    Nissan NS5B gas cap

Question - 2003 Nissan 5hp NS5B - does the gas cap on the tank keep a vacuum? It seems that when I take the cap off, he engine seems to start to sputter and eventually dies. My tank cap threads are virtually non existant so I have to keep a bungee cord on the cap. But when I had to add fuel, I...

    Nissan NS5B spark plug

I have a 5HP Nissan NS5B. I thought the carb was dirty but took that apart and it's quite clean in the inside. Took out the plug and it was jet black, covered in soot and what I can imagine would be oil. Now, this engine calls for a BPR 7HS spark plug. Unfortunately, I can't find that plug...

    2003 Nissan NS5B Outboard 5HP

I bought a boat and it came with a Nissan 5HP NS5B engine. After looking at the bracket, it's not the same one that came with the engine. Not sure what it is from, but it's not the right one. After looking at a few sites, it looks like I can build the bracket for a pretty penny of $600, which...
