    Starter rope grommet

    I have gone thru 2 starter ropes in the part season,I had a look tonight and noticed a few polished areas where the rope ran. Is there a way I can remove the grommet? I could possibly have a new one machined from nylon or smooth this one out so it doesn't wear the rope.Any ideas on how to remove?

    chainsaw help

    I was given a Craftsman XXV (made by Poulan) I cleaned the gas tank and carb, and bought a new fuel line(sever varnish) bought a new spark plug too. Should I dump the bar oil and clean that out?? How does it spit the oil onto the chain? Anything else I should look into before I try to start this ?
