    Yamaha 90 HP 1996; Tach oil status indication

    Just bought boat. Have no manual. Internal oil reservoir only. No external tank. Tach shows three symbols: low oil, a ramp(intermediate?), and full oil tank symbol. When engine is running, the full symbol disappears and the ramp symbol flashes. What does this mean? My reservoir is 3-4 inches...

    What does it mean when the dash beneath the ramp symbol begins to blink? My oil reservoir is 3-4 inches below the top. Also, what is the proper level to fill this reservoir to?
