Hi,

i'm planning to buy a water pressure gauge, either Teleflex or Faria. These are sold as a "kit", does this include everything? Sender, wiring etc? Like this one here e.g. Nothing is found under "accessories". I need some help here, i don't know what's needed except for the...

    New (spare) prop

    Hi,

as i wrote earlier i managed to damage my new Turbo TXP 14x21 and as i have no spare prop i'm going to buy one tomorrow. Prop washer

I'm not sure which washer to use, none was supplied with the TXP i bought recently. I have two washer plates but if i use them there's not enough room for the prop nut spacer plate. Is there a specific washer for different brands of props?
I have a picture of them here:

    Prop damage

I accidentally damaged my new prop, damn! Is there any rescue for it? It is a SS prop and the leading edges are thinned out, not razor sharp. One blade has a small damage at the edge. I can still use it, but it's probably not good for the transmission and the performance is suffering. Can it be...

    The new TURBO TXP

    AV plate height questions

    Hello,

i'm going to buy a new prop, my old destroyed one was a Ballistic 14x21, the new one will most likely be a Turbo 1 14x21 with thinned leading edges, machined by the seller. I have not been able to check my current height of AV plate vs. bottom of the hull, because right now the...

    Need to replace lower unit

    Hi,

I ran aground with my boat, the engine is a Yamaha 200 HPDI -01. The lower unit is damaged, lots of deep scratches and only half of the skeg is left. Since i've owned the boat for less than a year i would like it fully restored.
There's no leak in the gearcase, amazingly, and...

    Cruising at 72knots/83mph

Read in the local newspaper about two guys that were out cruising with their race boat at 83mph, when suddenly the boat flipped and crashed into the water. They made it to the shore and got away with bruises but the boat sank. Horrible!

What would you choose? And why?

The propeller choice for my 20 feet DC(2800lbs incl Yamaha 200HPDI) has come down to two propellers, either Mirage Plus 14 3/4x21 or Powertech PTC series 14.25x21, I would like to hear which one you would prefer and why.

Thanks,
Mattias

    Choosing new prop

I have a 6.1m/20 feet daycruiser weighing about 1.1 tons/2400 lbs fitted with a Yamaha 200 HPDI. I need a new prop, i used to have a ballistic 14 3/8x21 3 blade. Although the boat went fine with that prop, acceleration pretty good and about 48knots in top speed, it would be fun trying something...

Ran aground with my Yamaha 200 HPDI

Yes, it's finally happened. Prop was a ballistic and it's ruined, but it can be replaced. The problem is the fin (or whatever it is called) below the prop, it is worn down some millimeters or centimeters due to rocks and i don't know how much to fill it to achieve original size and shape. Does...
