    Should my boat be faster?

    Ive got a 17 foot cajun bassboat with a85 horse force outboard. Im trying to figure out why it seems so slow to me... At wide open throttle trimmed up in calm water i get about 23 miles an hour at 5400 rpm... seems to me like it should go about 10-15 miles an hour faster... am i confused?
