Trying to get some advice about this lift mod. The boathouse came with a center mount lift that isnt strong enough for my new boat. I plan on hanging a 24" drive pipe support from the block setup, with through bolts, in the picture below. There will be one of these at each corner of the lift...

Well I guess I'll muddy the waters a bit....this motor is a remanned long block that was installed 5yrs ago. Cant remember at the moment where I got it, but the oem motor in my '97 SeaRay 185 blew up, and this is what went in. SO....you may very well be...

Hi there.....1997 Searay 185...very recently my boat pulls hard left. most of the post on the forum seem to point to the adjustable fin....i looked at that and messed with it to no avail. The thing i notice is that when the boat is out of the water...i can push on the outdrive and it pushes...
I have a free air sub thats about to go in my 97 searay....while i understand that the sub does not need to be in a perfect enclosure....i know that the sound from the rear of the sub cannot be allowed to reach the front of the sub, less cancel out the sound.

Hey again, I am shopping for a reman long block for the 97 searay......my mechanic is insisting on a Hot tested block.....I have been looking at the 4.3 from rapido, and I notice that those are just test spun.
what kind of difference am I looking at between the two? is the hot tested engine...

Hey, the thing runs now! but....when I slowly open it up, the engine dies unless I throttle up fast. I can see fuel being pumped into the barrel, but it just doesnt seem like its enough.....any ideas

the boat has been sittin for a year and a half....(damn lady didnt use it before she sold it....)
The old fuel pump is bad and already got a new one....(i think it was gummed up and seized....it did nothing when hooked up to a battery)
