hey guys, I have a 79 55hp johnson and the bottom carb had a broken idle tube (the tube that is in the center of the carb through the middle of the float that is inside a larger tube) so I replaced it with a good clean used one.

i have a 79 55hp johnson and my top carb is bad and i have an extra bottom carb. i was woundering. besides the linkage are the carbs interchangable from top to bottom? i know i would have to plug or cap off the large fuel line in the bottom of the lower carb but other then that is it possible?
i found some #'s on my 12" stainless 3 blade prop. 12 1/4 i'm assuming is the pitch. 18636 is another # the 36 i'm not sure about. There are also 2 dots above the longer #. any ideas

my ted williams 217/58588-0 has a spark plug directly into ths head and the wire goes to a square thing on the side with an angled side then another wire coming out towards the flywheel. what is it? sorry for the vaque discription.:confused:
