    '88 Yamaha 200 hp engine alarm at idle

    The engine has a new pump housing and impeller set. We had the same problem beforehand. It seems intermittant. Most of the time, if we rev it up, the alarm stops. Anyone have any ideas ??? Thanks.

    Why not put a Petronix conversion on a 3.7 Mercruiser??

    I'd like to put one of these electronic ignition kits on my 190 hp 3.7 liter. However, most places that sell these seem to have a mention of "not reccomended for 3.7 engines". Does anyone know why you shouldn't use one of these on a 3.7??? Thanks<br /><br />Rich

    '89 Yamaha 200 top end cutout

    I have a friend that just bought a boat that has this engine. They took it out on the lake yesterday and encountered some problems. It seems to go lean when at speed. If you pump up the bulb, it straightens out momentarily. There are no Yamaha dealers in this area so I'm trying to help them out...

    What should compression be 1989 Yamaha 200 hp??
