    Can my johnson charge a battery?

    I have a 25hp 1979 johnson seahorse model 25r79r. I've read that some motors have alternators that charge your battery while they run. Does mine have this feature? I have a Seloc manual but it's not clear to me weather I have this function. Anyone?

    I have a '79 Johnson Seahorse 25. I do not have a local boat shop to buy parts and would like to replace the washers on my drain plugs. Can I buy something from an autoparts store that will work? Would hate to have to mail order something so small and cheap.
