    I/O Bilge Air Duct Venting

I’d treat this as bilge ventilation, not {removed link}. I had a similar mess on an older boat, and the safest fix was one properly sized blower pulling from the lowest point, with the intake hose routed separately and secured. Don’t pressurize the compartment, and don’t rely only on the vent...

What's the best concert you've been to?

The best concert I ever went to was probably Foo Fighters at Wrigley Field. The energy was insane, everyone was singing along, and Dave Grohl is just wild live. I had seats close enough to really see the band, which made it even better. I've also been to some pretty small shows where you feel...

Quicksilver 3000 Classic Control install question

Due to a fire I had to replace my Quicksilver 3000 Classic Control (no longer available - got this one on eBay) and during the re-installation I noticed something that I think is a bit odd. Burnt wires - What to do?

The Exhaust on my 1998 5.0L Mercruiser engine got extremely overheated and burnt the covering on several wires (see photo). I am thinking of stripping the wires as much as possible then coating each in liquid tape and then wrapping each in electrical tape. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have a 1998 Baja with a 5.0liter V8 and Alpha drive - The Starboard side "thru the hull" exhaust water flow is severely restricted to the point that the header got hot enough to melt some wiring harnesses & exhaust components and I had to be towed home. Where should I look to find the blockage?

Blue smoke from 1994 Mercury 115hp

My 1994 Mercury 115hp is spewing blue smoke at all speeds, it is also hard starting, and idles a bit rough. I have read that this could be a carburetor(s) problem but would like to know how to diagnose the problem before I purchase 1 or more carburetor rebuild kits. If it is the carburetor(s)...
