OK. First off I am a complete noob and hack mechanic, but I have more time than money so I try to do as much as I can myself. I dropped the lower unit on my 4.3l mercruiser alpha gen+. and changed the impeller and the upper seals. I was having high engine temps and was losing small amounts of...
I changed the impeller and when I was refilling the gear oil it is leaking out a hole where normally water drains just below where the upper and lower units join???? HELP. Did I damage something?
Just got my first boat and need some help. the port side manifold is at normal temps, but the starboard side is way too hot. What could be causing this?
