    Can I put the stator off a 1980 Johnson 35 and put it on a 1976 evinrude 35? The 1976 was originally a pull start with no stater or rectifier

    Running to rich

    I have a 35 hp johnson outboard stick steer I adjusted my lean and Rich adjustment all the way in gently and out 1 1/4 turns but turned in a 1/4 and is hardish to start but when it does it idles fine but still runs really rich Tia!
