I have some play in my shift linkage. The shift rod in the lower unit does not move immediately with the shift lever.
There is play and I can't get the shift rod to move the final @ 1/4 inch to engage forward.
I can't figure out what the connection is under the powerhead from the schematics...

Won't shift into forward because the shift rod is not pulled up far enough. The shift lever moves forward part way before it pulls up on the rod. Then when it does finally "engage", it only pulls it up about...
