Hi..
I have a 92 yahama 30 hp and the dash mounted voltmeter has been climbing up into the 19volt scale.
I lower it by turning on the running lights which brings it down to about 13 to 14 vdc.
Soooooo I figured it was the rectifier and ordered a new one from iboats and installed it today...

I just bought a mint condition 88 Bayliner 19.2 cuddy and the OMC Cobra 3.0 in line 4 has a funning ding noise in the back.
It is not a rhthymical noise but sort of a ding..pause...ding...pause...pause..pause....ding...
Sounds like it is coming from the ring gear/bell housing...
