I just picked up an 18xd and only have spark on one cylinder figured out my switchbox is bad by pulling one off my 9.9 Merc
My question is the Merc part # is 339-7542a19 I found an OEM one for fairly cheap but it is an a21 far as I can tell only difference is the length of some wires is this...
I picked up a 89 mariner 9.9 cheapish knowing it had no spark I unhooked the kill switch still no spark either cylinder
I think the trigger is good I get an ohm reading on it but the stater I get a reading from the black/yellow to ground but no reading from black/white to ground or the two...

I picked up a 84 merc 7.5 knowing the carb needed some work
I got a gasket kit cleaned and rebuilt the carb new needle valve except I did not get a new float
I adjusted the float to where you could barley blow through the needle valve...
