How to prevent jack from seizing up? Gets submerged every launch

Hmmm, So the trailer tongue gets submerged??? I’ve never seen a trailer tongue or Jack go under water. Mount it further forward? Extend the tongue then mount it further forward? Buy a higher lift Jack and mount it above the trailer tongue? Hard to suggest much more without a decent photo of...

    Boat to trailer latches

For what it’s worth, maybe for newbies of or people trying to decide on what type of trailer they want to buy, here is my take. Unfortunately This is one of the downsides of a roller trailer. I switched to a bunk trailer about 20 years ago. The bunks are very low and the boat sits down...

    Texas weather is crazy🤣

All of earth's weather is crazy. Constantly reacting to forces within our atmosphere, and with forces originating in outer space. It's actually pretty amazing that there are so many various forms of life that exist, and are thriving, given the constant changes and extremes found here on earth...

    When boating, always ___________________

Da##, Sure as Shinola. I never noticed that. But in my defense, I've only got 20 hours on the motor. All my other motors have an ignition key. So now I will have to remember to attach the lanyard to my life jacket every time I fire up the engine. Or..... find an 18' long lanyard and leave it...

One fuel line to two engines

I have been running a water sep filter with 2 outlets. A primer bulb on both, going to a 115hp and a 15hp outboard. Have never had one sucked dry of fuel. Even with running the 115 for 45 minutes, the kicker primer bulb stays full and always pops right off. I use OEM rubber bulbs, and they are...

The kill switch on my new motor is also the stop switch. You have to pull the lanyard to stop the engine. Makes it pretty hard to forget, because you have to reconnect the lanyard to start the engine.

    Boat value

Photos and description all showed up. Whats it worth?? For me, not much. A couple grand maybe , if it really fits your needs. Looks like a heavy old boat with a rebuilt engine. And I'm gonna guess it not real fast. What do you plan on using it for?

Another boring winter day in northern Wisconsin

I used to do both but.... I got totally bored with ice fishing. Then after going through the ice and having to walk 1.5 miles, I said F it, no more. Used to have great fun on the sled, but eventually blew it up. More of a go fast guy than a trail rider. I work in the cold, don't much want to...
