    Lower Unit Oil Leak

those lower unit bolts have nothing to do with sealing anything. The just hold the gearcase on. The nuts are nylocks so not prone to loosening.

Pushing Run-Flat tires to the limit

same as my '08 silverado.....I have thought, when time for a new tire, about swapping the spare onto a running wheel and putting the new tire as the spare. That'd depend on my energy level at the time.

Pushing Run-Flat tires to the limit

"What I do now is lower the spare once a year and lube the cable and also spray the rim with fluid film, or else it will rust if steel and corrode if alu. Always check your spare!" that's the trick, do the routine maintenance....lube the mechanism.

    early spring maintenance

Finished up my "normal" spring/almost 300 hr engine and pontoon duties yesterday. On paper, it would appear to take only a few hours but was actually 2 full days spaced a week apart) i take my time, plus nothing rarely goes smooth). Made re-enforcing patches for boat cover support poles...

Pushing Run-Flat tires to the limit

I do all my own tires. ( mounting, balancing, repair) All my vehicles have spares, a portable pump and tire plugs. Any trip taken I bring my 20v dewalt impact wrench. In my 50+ years of plugging tires, I've never had a complete plug failure. The 2012 volvo I purchased for my girlfriend did not...

    Help with axle replacement

Since you have a Karavan, as I do (2004), call Karavan up and talk to them. Around 5 years ago I needed a new axle for my tandem trailer. They told me no problem, they'd pull the blue prints for my trailer and make me a new one. And they did. I might have the number, I'll look.

    R.I.P Chuck Norris

beats sitting around getting fat. 😂 No claims of exercise extending life, but no claims it doesn't . Quality of life, however, is a claim and has merit, for which I can attest to. I'd rather have my kids invest their time in some physical activity other than sitting around for hours with their...

    22' pontoon prop question.

if it coulda' been done , it would have, right? Whether electric or oil controlled, complexity, cost, and compatibility with environments would've been prohibitive. imagine a prop replacement cost .
