    thanks everyone all is fine the coupler was slightly bent so the linkage rods werent going all the way in fixed that problem and yes i changed the impeller

    1972 18 horse evinrude model 18202r replaced key pin that drives the impeller and cant get fwrd rev and neutral to properly work i tried the advise that i got last week and followed to a tee but it dident work allso i need to know if the motor should be pissing as soon as it is running

    can anyone help? i droped the lower unit to replace the key pin that turns the impeller but when i slide everything back together the shift linkage wont work properly. forward seems to be nuetral, and nuetral seems to be forward and who knows what reverse is. ive done this before and had the...
