    Caravelle with lots of mildew in engine compartment?

    Looking at a 2005 Caravelle 187. I understand these boats are 100% composite, wood free. However, should I be concerned at an engine compartment full of mildew? With nothing to rot, what other problems could this signal? Wet foam? Other?

    Foam in VEC hulls?

    Likely on the hunt for a boat again. Wondering if the Glastron/Larson VEC hulls have floatation/structural foam in them? Coming from a Bayliner/Maxum build that was all plywood and wet foam :blue:

    Tow with broken bunk?

    Hey y'all. Snapped a bunk on my boat trailer right in the middle between the two metal supports. The bunk looks almost normal with the boat on it. Just noticed it sag in the middle last time we were at the ramp.Is it safe to trailer the boat like this? What are the dangers of doing so? Thanks

    first boat, cracks question

    Read this forum lots. First post. Buying first boat and looked at some real rough boats. Found a nice one, but on the top side of the splash well just beneath the bolts used to mount the outboard there are two cracks in the glass. Not just in the gel coat, about right through. Tap test sounds ok...
