    I just bought a '98 115hp motor with wiring. The previous owner cut the wires coming from the motor loom to the Tach. It's easy enough to re-connect the wires color(s) to color(s). But what confuses me is that the first three are the Tach wires...purple, black and gray and each have screw...

    115hp Spl

    Newbie here. I just bought a '98 Rude 115hp Spl. I've read that the Spl came w/o VRO capability so it'll have to have oil mixed with the gas. Could one buy an oil tank and pump then install it in this motor or would it just be best to mix the oil with the gas?
