    That part has been my problem. It was basically “jammed” and I’ve somehow freed it up. I believe my motor will Properly once that pinion is replace in the throttle. I was going to use some grease/lube to ensure it doesn’t stick again. Still have plans to remove flywheel to inspect later today...

    I have had to replace the throttle control gear and throttle control pinion. Now my throttle on the tiller is extremely tight and I can’t get motor to run anyway but wide open. Any suggestions what might be causing this?

    That’s exactly what I saw on multiple manufactures sites before I bought this boat. I thought it should have plenty of weight capacity for us, But jims123 says that we’ll be over weight. I’m new to learning about boats, so is there something obvious that I am missing?

    I really hadn’t thought about weight being a concern, but you may be right. I think combine weight of myself, wife, dogs and boy are approximately 450 lbs.
