    1968 Johnson 6 hp cd-25c

Began that tonight, decent compression 90/80, I can’t seem to find my spark checker, it’s missing the recoil, but that’s the only part I can find missing. Not locked up, but it hasn’t been ran in a long time. I think she’ll be a runner yet. And if not I’ve got a great parts motor.

    1968 Johnson 6 hp cd-25c

I’ve pretty much finished this one up. Found a nice (in pictures) 1955 5.5 for $100 no clue on if it would run. I might go get. I’m ready for my next project. That said I’d get more use from 15 hp

    1968 Johnson 6 hp cd-25c

I made a post in another thread and it was recommended I start my own thread. I was able to successfully get my kill switch installed in my 68 6 hp motor last night. Relatively simple job. I hadn’t thought to drill through the magneto, and it made for a very simple solution. Works perfectly...

I’ve got a 1968 Johnson 6 hp. I’d like to put a kill switch on it, but YouTube has been minimally helpful on how to do this. Any suggestions?

    Quick fuel line diameter verification

Model number cd-25c Couple of quick questions: I messaged Crowley marine directly and they couldn’t tell me if this fuel pump would work or not. I am reaching out the group to see if this will work. 1968 Johnson 6 hp outboard...

    Quick fuel line diameter verification

1968 Johnson 6 hp motor. I'd like to replace the internal fuel lines for this motor. The line from the needle/connector to the fuel pump and the line from the pump to the carb. What diameter line will i need? Thanks Rob

    1969 25 Hp Johnny Rude/Kicker?

Well I sold the 25. Guy offered me $1000 cash for it. I wouldn’t say no. The main lake I fish is 9.9 hp restricted as is, so it wasn’t a huge loss. I’ve had the 6 hp motor out behind the boat 3 times the week, and it’s a phenomenal motor. Really dependable and fires right up on the first pull...

What to do with my motor when towing?

Does anyone have any good suggestion outside of bolting the outboard through the transom?

What to do with my motor when towing?

I’m hesitant to drill into my transom only because I think I’m going to be buying old outboards and running different ones often. I have 2 different outboard motors that switch between now and this number is only going to increase in the future . It does make permanently mounting less desirable

25 is purring like a kitten today! Finally got a warm day for a bucket test and got the low speed mix dialed In. Ready for the river!

Depends on who said “friend” is. This may not be the worst outcome.

Agreed! More research and more time turning wrenches on them. I’m pretty comfortable top to bottom
